05.01.12 Richard Wong has joined SMS as the General Manager for Singapore and Malaysia.

Singapore, (May 1, 2012) Richard will be responsible for executing SMS's growth strategy throughout Singapore and Malaysia, expanding SMS's geographic reach and ability to directly deliver best-in-class IT asset maintenance and lifecycle management services. Richard began his career with Hewlett Packard where he spent more than a decade, starting as a Customer System Engineer and advancing to serve in several key roles including as an Account Engineer, Project Manager, Solution Architect, and a regional Business Development & Service Delivery Manager. Richard brings more than 18 years of experience in hardware support and customer service in the IT industry throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

04.16.12 Norris Hickerson has joined SMS as the General Manager for Hong Kong and Macau.

Hong Kong, (April 16, 2012) - Norris will be responsible for executing SMS's growth strategy in Hong Kong and Macau, delivering best-in-class IT asset maintenance and lifecycle management services. 04.03.12 Systems Maintenance Services acquires Prism Pointe Technologies.

Charlotte, North Carolina, (April 3, 2012) - Systems Maintenance Services Inc. (SMS) today announced that it has acquired Fairburn, Ga.-based Prism Pointe Technologies. Prism Pointe is an independent provider of installation, deployment, and maintenance services for end-user computing and network printer devices to enterprise and government clients globally. Prism Pointe delivers its solutions through a dedicated field services organization with locations across the United States, Germany, Kuwait and South Korea.

03.22.12 SMS completes the acquisition of IT decision Management (ITdM).

Charlotte, North Carolina, (March 22, 2012) - Systems Maintenance Services Inc. (SMS) today announced that it has acquired Kansas City, Mo.-based IT decision Management (ITdM). ITdM is a technology solutions provider with expertise in professional and managed network services. The acquisition will further enable SMS to deliver cost-effective networking services and provide customers with solutions for the growing demands associated with voice, video and cloud-computing advancements.

02.14.11 Mark Murawski has been promoted to Vice President, responsible for the Data Center Services business at SMS.

Phoenix, Arizona, (February 14, 2011) Mark Murawski had previously served SMS as the Director of the data center relocations business.  During his leadership SMS enhanced the basic box move services and technical services business by adding project management skills to our core offerings.  As a result, SMS now delivers mission critical data center relocations for our new and existing customers.

Prior to joining SMS, Mark's experience at Tandem Computer, Kraft Foodservices, and the Dial corporation lead to the development of a strong professional services business within each organization:

  • While at Tandem, Mark developed the professional services business for capacity planning, performance management, and database performance tuning.
  • As part of Kraft Foodservices, Mark consolidated over 40 data centers into a central location, planning for systems and infrastructure capacity.
  • While at the Dial Corporation, Mark developed processes for change management and problem management that moved the data center organization from being reactive and tactical to proactive and strategic.

Mark and his family currently reside in Scottsdale, Arizona.
