The SMS Storage Health Check is an analysis service that evaluates, documents and makes recommendations for your storage infrastructure.
The first step of the SMS Storage Health Check is a technical interview, focusing on the elements that directly impact system availability and reliability. Business critical servers will be defined and infrastructure components documented.
The second step is in-depth research on the actual storage components. Starting with the physical connectivity between the servers and the storage area network, all components are evaluated. Technologies, such as host bus adapter recommendations and operating system multi-pathing technologies will be evaluated for vendor supportability. Infrastructure components, including SAN switches, zoning, software releases and port configurations will be evaluated. The physical storage subsystem is documented and compared with industry and vendor best practices.
Our deliverable is a comprehensive report identifying conditions of attention and documenting recommendations on ways to keep your storage running optimally.
