Many loyal and vocal HP3000 users banded together and declared that they would not be forced to abandon the solution just because HP eliminated support.

The writing had been on the wall for years, and when HP stopped supporting their 9x7, 9x8, 9x9, and 99x servers, customers approached SMS asking for responsive alternatives to the manufacturers support. Familiarity with our HP3000 HealthCheck, System Performance Tuning and Patch Analysis services had already placed SMS and the MPE Support Group in the role of trusted advisor for many of these accounts now orphaned from HP.

SMS is a national HP3000 maintenance provider. We have access to replacement parts through 2010 or for as long as our customers need HP3000 support. Our parts availability is facilitated by our ability to perform board level repair to restore the board to original manufacturer specifications.

The availability of HP3000 hardware allows you to take advantage of our Technology Refresh program. As older discs and tape drives reach failure points in the end of their duty cycle, we replace these components with much faster, more fault-tolerant electronics, resulting in a win-win for both you and your budget.
