Fixed Price Takeout

SMS Fixed Price Takeout relieves you of the logistical headaches and liquidity risks associated with managing the sale of a retired asset. For a fixed price, SMS arranges for transportation and removal of your decommissioned IT assets, then will sanitize or destroy all media containing sensitive data and properly dispose equipment with zero value.

Shared Revenue Sale

SMS helps you recoup value from your retired IT assets. SMS will handle the resale of your old equipment that has retained market value and return a percentage of the sale proceeds to you upon completion. Products with little to no market value are broken down to component level and incorporated into our spare parts inventory, providing a credit back to you, or recycled in compliance with applicable environmental laws.

All-Inclusive Service

Our All-Inclusive℠ service takes the hassle out of asset disposition. This option is ideal for clients with an aggressive IT refresh plan who prefer a convenient way to dispose of IT assets on a regular basis. We arrange for regular pick-ups, storage, packaging, transportation, chain of custody reporting, inventory, asset verification and disposition. We test each item to identify its configuration and grade the asset to determine its fair-market value. Once completed, we will properly resell or dispose of decommissioned systems.

When the disposition of your equipment is complete, you will receive a detailed settlement report which includes information detailing:

  • Whether hardware was resold or recycled
  • Asset tracking information
  • Certificates of erasure or destruction
  • Non-functional hard drives that were destroyed
  • Confirmation of proper disposal.
