11.21.08 SMS OPENS 32nd Service and Engineering Center in Omaha Nebraska.

Jim Kleeman, CEO of SMS, states, "This continues our strategy of expanding into every major market in the U.S.   So far in 2008 we opened 4 new service and engineering centers in order to meet the ever growing needs of our customer base."

Mike Boyd, General Manager of the Central Region says, "We opened Omaha because our customers want to expand their service relationship with SMS across our national footprint."  Continues Mike, "Omaha is a big step forward for SMS Central.  We opened Omaha because of exiting customer demands and we added new customers as well."

11.17.08 SMS is awarded multi-system Mission Critical support contract for nuclear power generation facilities.

Joe Scordino, President of SMS, states, "This major utility in the northeast was looking for mission critical support for their Distribution and Control Center.  Unsatisfied with the OEM's performance, SMS was chosen because of our technical excellence, local sparing of systems and Hot Sparestm sparing methodology."

11.13.08 SMS is awarded Enterprise Support contract for national coverage for a global telecommunications company.

10.30.08 SMS is awarded and Enterprise Support contract from a major Healthcare Provider in Texas.

09.10.08 SMS announces the opening of our 31st service center and engineering lab to serve the Detroit Michigan Area.

Joe Scordino, President of SMS, states "With the opening of the Detroit Service Center we add to our strategy of adding 'bricks and mortar'  service centers in every critical market, nationwide."  Scordino adds, "In addition to servicing local and national customers with local resources, we are adding new jobs to the Michigan economy."

07.01.08 Systems Maintenance and Integration Firm SMS Opens Facility in Ontario County: 27-year-old technology company opens new location in Victor, New York

VICTOR, N.Y., July 30, 2008 — The Ontario County Office of Economic Development/Industrial Development Agency recently welcomed SMS, a systems maintenance integration company, to Victor, demonstrating the agency’s initiative to attract and grow business. The recent SMS expansion to Victor affirms the growth of technology firms in Ontario County.

“We are very impressed with Ontario County for what it offers us from a business growth perspective, but also the Office of Economic Development made it a priority for us to meet Chief Information Officer Ed Hemminger. No other agency provided us with the opportunity to meet the people we’d be working with,” said SMS Vice President and Victor native Johnny Walker. “Our Victor location is perfect, with the Ontario County fiber-optic ring project, a talented workforce and easy access to the Thruway. 06.09.08 SMS announces the opening of onePoint, our world class call center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

02.08.08 SMS National Announces the opening of our 29th Service Center in Columbus, Ohio.

SMS has opened facility number 29 in Columbus, Ohio in support of our many customers and partners in that area. Jim Kleeman, CEO of SMS says: “Not only does this represent an additional commitment to the Ohio Market, but it reinforces our corporate goal of being local to 90% of the U.S. Market.” SMS currently has Service Centers in Cleveland/Akron, Columbus and Cincinnati.

SMS has added Cisco support to the 200th location of a major retailer.  Citing the extraordinary savings found in SMS Cisco support the customer is continuing to expand our in store presence.
